Commission: Blackhawk

Another quickie commission; this time, it's Blackhawk, DC's swashbuckling aviator. Col-Erase pencil on bristol board, 9" x 12".

Yeah, I was thinking "Bruce Campbell" while drawing it.

Again, awesome work, sir. I couldn't have been happier with it.

Sorry I didn't have more time to chat, but it was great to see you. Hopefully I'll get down to Chicago for at least a day, if you're planning on being there this year.

Take it easy.

I'm so glad you like it! I'm a little disappointed—and I rarely say this about my own work—the scan doesn't really do the image justice.

Yes, sir! I'll be at both Wizard World Chicago in August and the excellent Windy City Comicon (http://www.windycitycomicon.com/) in September.

Hope to see you at eaither show—or both!

Whooo hoooo, finally I will make sure I'm at Chicago Con this year, Wiz world Chicago...whatever, because there's finally something/one worth going to see.

Will you be doing sketches at the con? If so what is the rate for a 9 by 10 in a sketchbook?

For con sketches (in or out of sketchbooks) I usually do $25 pencil head-shots (like the Blackhawk sketch) in dimensions around 9 x 12 or 8.5 x 11.

I may add a bust/torso shot category (in ink, same dimensions) for $40, depending on how I can deal with my stage fright. ;)

Thanks for asking!
